Have you read the Tender cookbook by Nigel Slater at all? I just recently read the chapter on aubergines and was surprised to find that only us Americans (and the Australians) call them eggplants and it is due to their egg-like appearance. I hadn’t really seen any besides the boring large purple variety in the local super market, but seeing these cute little egg-like guys on your blog make me smile. I’m now on the search!
looks so rustic and out of the oven! dang got hungry again. i wish they made tinier ovens for pizzas alone. it’s hard to open up a big oven just to cook one pizza
